Uncle Joe's Soggiorno

This true family home has been passed down over generations. When we went basement shopping for family heirlooms, we came across the suitcase Great Uncle Joe’s parents used to pack their belongings when immigrating from Italy to America in the 1920s. The US Customs stickers were still intact. Imagine the memories carried in that small suitcase? We wanted the living room to feel like that suitcase; a collection of memories shared by generations of family members. Does it look like a thrift store threw up? Maybe. But the special stories of the pieces in the room make it feel like HOME to Peter, Uncle Joe’s great nephew and the proud current owner, and that’s all we really care about.
